Mortgage interest is charged at the usual market rates. However, as in the case of loans granted to Bank employees, members of the governing bodies receive a 25% rebate on the applicable interest rate up to a maximum amount of CHF 750,000 per borrower. (Note 15 cont’d next page) At 31 Dec. 2011 the relevant mortgage rates ranged from 2% to 3% and the interest rates charged on lombard loans from 1.5% to 3.5% in the major currencies. The value of loans granted to members of the Executive Committee totalled 901 (in thousands of CHF).
