and the Maria Fareri Children’s<br />

Hospital - New York Medical College<br />

are designing a curriculum for interns<br />

focusing on intercultural and religious<br />

issues that may need to be considered<br />

in the context of patient care.<br />

Café Culturel<br />

Café Culturel gives any interested<br />

residents of Seine Saint Denis the<br />

opportunity to participate in arts<br />

workshops or to perform on stage,<br />

guided by professionals, allowing<br />

them to share their talent, beliefs and<br />

hopes. Such a program transforms<br />

the arts into a genuine instrument<br />

of active citizenship.<br />

Common Cents Program<br />

After collecting pennies during a<br />

“Penny Harvest,” students of the<br />

schools participating in the Common<br />

Cents Program collectively chose<br />

a local project with high social impact<br />

to which to donate the money they<br />

collected. Through this program,<br />

children learn from a very young age<br />

the meaning and value of philanthropy.<br />

The Edmond de Rothschild Foundations<br />

support the work of a number of<br />

research centers at Cambridge<br />

University that address intercultural<br />

issues and relationships among<br />

different religious communities.<br />

OPEJ Foundation –<br />

Baron Edmond de Rothschild<br />

Created after World War II, the<br />

OPEJ Foundation provides children<br />

and adolescents in difficult family<br />

situations with a stable living and<br />

learning environment where they<br />

are cared for and protected.<br />

Three Faiths Forum<br />

The Three Faiths Forum combines<br />

theory and practice in the promotion<br />

of Intercultural Dialogue. It has<br />

developed an innovative curriculum<br />

for the subject, to which numerous<br />

students are exposed during educational<br />

workshops where they have<br />

the opportunity to exchange ideas<br />

about different religions.<br />
