While he still remainsinvolved in the company, he has branched off into cattleranching. He writes, "If you have ever tried to developan Australian cattle property, you would know thatmoney disappears into and unto the ground. For example,on my last cattle station, I erected over 150 miles ofall steel fence-I think that's about from New York Cityto Middletown." Jean Hemphill, wife of Alex '40, had the wholegroup over for dinner which culminated in a littleDecember cruise up the Tred Avon River.George Lewis retired from Du Pont in June of 1986but still works half-time as a marketing consultant.George manages to get in a few rounds of golf eachweek, while his wife, Ellie, plays tennis. Two ofGeorge's children live in New York City-one is inadvertising, the other is a free-lance writer. The thirdchild is an engineerlfinancial analyst who lives in nearbyToughkenamon, Pennsylvania. George and Elliehave three grandchildren (one per family) who have allbeen born in the past two years. He adds that he saw theSAS football team beat Tower Hill this past fall and thatthe team reminded him of the 1939 Boilennakers.Jim Thomas is way ahead of the game and isalready asking for the dates of the 50th Reunion in Juneof 1991. Why? Because he is planning a 6- to 8-weektrip to England and the continent and does not want tomiss the Reunion festivities.By the way, the Reunion dates are June 7, 8 and 9 in1991.'43 Morgan B. On a personal note,my retirement from NCR Corporation last June hasallowed me to indulge two of my favorite activities-travel and house restoration. Our four children arescattered, with our oldest, Morgan, living in England,twins Hugh and Andrew in Dayton and our daughter,Ann, in Seattle. Six grandchildren in the Dayton areaprovide Sally and me with plenty of excitement. Travelplans for this summer include a trip to England to visitthe two-year-old grandson in that outpost.Greetings from Noel Dalton came in from Miami,Florida. From Paul Fitzpatrick in Johns Island, SouthCarolina, comes word that Hurricane Hugo hit right onCharleston and devastated areas to the north. But helives thirty miles south and damage there was far less.No damage to his place. Phil Lounsbery is now retiredafter forty-six years with Marsh & McLennan but isvery active as Chainnan of the Board at his local hospitaland a trustee of the Presiding Bishop's Fund. Hewrote that he is staying busy taking care of houses inBedford, New York, and Nantucket and doing a bit oftraveling in Europe.In other news, Jay Kinahan reported a very busy1989 with trips to Korea, Taiwan and Japan on business,and a pleasure trip to Europe last summer to visit hisfour Swiss grandchildren. Jay adds, "My painting continuesto fill my hours when I am not wearing my consultant'shat..., and I am working up to another exhibitearly next year, time pennitting. I plan to see BruceGraham one of these days. He is doing some architecturalwork in the Wilmington area when he can sparetime from his ski resort development in Massachusetts."From <strong>St</strong>aatsburg, New York, comes word that JohnAlden and his wife, Nancy, enjoy retirement. So too,does Clayton Griffin, retired from Georgia PowerCompany after 40 years of service. He reports, "I alsoresigned from my parttime position on the faculty at
