She has a position with a Japanese travel firm.And she can't wait to return to Japan.Randy Hermann is thriving back in his beloved<strong>St</strong>eeltown. Now at the University of Pittsburgh, doublemajoringin English and communications, "Mone" is astar behind the bar when not hopping from class to classat Pitt's "Cathedral of Learning." His taproom talentskeep Randy sufficiently solvent to guarantee great<strong>St</strong>eelers seats for this season and may earn him ajoblacing libations in San Francisco this summer.Missy Miller, already transplanted to California,divides her time between the responsibilities of an academiccareer and the craft of jewelry-making that paysher bills. The time she spends teasing precious metalsinto impossibly delicate shapes seems to have kept herfrom telling us more.Austin Reed plans to leave his conservation work inWashington, DC, for a sedate life in the country. Heand his betrothed will settle in Chestertown and celebratetheir nuptial feast just after the Reunion.Vivi Rodriguez, in the marble city on the Potomac,is still hard at work in the legal profession. She'll soonbe taking advantage of a grant she was just awarded towork with Washington's Hispanic community. Kudos!Gary Clarke sounds happy and healthy. Keith sees a lot of Paul Erhardtand Dave Sheehan in the fabled watering holes ofNewark, where Paul and Dave are rooming together.Dave divides his time between work and amorous expeditionsto New York City, where his sweetheart resides.Meanwhile, Paul is zeroing in on his degree at theUniversity of Delaware, majoring in history and takingplenty of political science courses.Since graduating from Washington College, DavidPikus is working with Delaware Governor MikeCastle's office. He is hoping to enroll this fall at theWidener University <strong>School</strong> of Law.Already registered for fall enrollment withWidener's law faculty is Chuck Kunz.Also part of this SAS-Widener connection, <strong>St</strong>an Yauis living at home in Wilmington and putting the finishingtouches on his Widener degree.Marc Pabon leaves for Spain in early June to travelfor a month and then settle into a teaching position at aSpanish university.Bill Flannagan is another '85er enjoying the collegiateflavor or Newark. Our congratulations to Bill onrecently having passed his <strong>St</strong>ate Boards and now beinga fully licensed electrician. He and a friend hope to runtheir own electrical business.Mike English has moved his song and dance fromColumbia U. to Hoboken. His work in engineering con·suIting should have him on the road throughout thespring and summer. The boss is sending him to bothHawaii and Guam to oversee the installation of radiotowers.We send our warmest wishes to <strong>St</strong>acey Williams,who joins the wedding parade in May of 1991. She andher beautiful three-and-a-half year old are doing fine,though <strong>St</strong>acey says that mothering is a challenge and ahandful.Anne Gammons is happily busy teaching. Herimmediate plans include education school. Anne hasher sights set on Columbia's Teachers' College.Pier Kooistra, also planning to head into the teachingranks, is enduring his last few harrowing months ofsubstitute work before being emancipated from thisdrudgery by summer vacation. He hopes to be teachingat a summer school before heading to <strong>St</strong>anford for graduatework in English.Kathy Dunton is settling into a new life in the nearbyWashington area. Kathy has found herself a nice padin Alexandria and is working for the marketing end of alarge architectural firm.Somewhere in the murky depths off San Diego,Ernie Greppin is busting his flippers in the U.S.Navy's rigorous SEALS program.Rumor has it that Kurt von UrtT is close to earninghis pilot's license and looking forward to a career in corporateflying.Shorts: Ann Sawyer should be somewhere inWashington. Eliza Manegold and Jen Gustavson havebeen spotted in Boston. Rich Thrnure caught somebody'sattention at Columbia U. - Pieter32
