The plant occupies approximately 450,000square feet. Glenair’sconnector manufacturingfacility is vertically integrated.All connector fabrication, includingprecision machining, hermetic firing,component assembly, contact termination,potting and electrical testing are completed at thefactory.For custom connector applications, we operate adedicated prototype development shop complete withCNC machining and EDM equipment. In addition, a widerange of electrical, mechanical and environmental testsare completed in-house including dielectric withstandingvoltage, contact resistance, contact engagementand separation, mating cycles, pressure testing andoutgassing. Glenair is well versed in connector designand development, and has been producing and qualifyingmilitary-standard type connectors for over 35 years.Our Microway facility in Chicago, a 35,000 sq. ft. plant,contributes additional design and tooling resources to theSeries 80 Mighty Mouse.
