<strong>2009</strong> Key Achievements:<br />
• renewal of the Environmental Authorisations for all 28 thermal stations,<br />
which certify the <strong>com</strong>pany’s concern for environmental protection;<br />
• 5% increase in apartments connected to the heating branching system:<br />
at present the <strong>com</strong>pany provides heat for 7325 apartments;<br />
• modernization of thermal stations no. 19 and no. 28, which contributed<br />
to decrease the operational costs;<br />
• reducing the specific fuel consumption to 147 kg / Gcal, leading to a<br />
saving of 2.5% of annual fuel consumption.<br />
Rominservices Therm is a public-private partnership, created at the<br />
end of the year 2002 between Rominserv and the Local Council of<br />
Mangalia.<br />
Rominservices Therm is the main producer and supplier of heat<br />
and domestic hot water in Mangalia, covering over 70% of the<br />
market, by operating 28 thermal stations in Mangalia and Neptun-<br />
Olimp resorts.<br />
Through the installation of 650 square meters of solar panels, the<br />
<strong>com</strong>pany provides 25% of hot water production based on solar<br />
energy (at the thermal stations where they are located), acting in<br />
line with EU policies regarding the use of renewable energies to<br />
achieve the objectives of energy conservation and sustainable<br />
development.<br />
The development of the specific operations and business<br />
In <strong>2009</strong>, Rominservices Therm continued the investment projects<br />
in order to increase the efficiency of all operations by modernizing<br />
the production capacity.<br />
Starting with 2003, the <strong>com</strong>pany has invested over 7,5 million USD<br />
in the heating system of Mangalia. By upgrading the old thermal<br />
stations, Rominservices Therm provides higher quality of the<br />
services for the <strong>com</strong>pany customers and also increases the number<br />
of new consumers in the central heating system.<br />
2010 Key Objectives:<br />
• decreasing of operational costs by modernizing the thermal station<br />
no. 25, finalizing the modernization of all thermal stations and the<br />
rehabilitation of 100% of thermal distribution network.<br />
• increasing the revenues from the repair works for heating networks and<br />
installations of the customers (<strong>com</strong>plementary services).<br />
• reducing the specific fuel consumption by 2%, having positive impact<br />
on both operational efficiency and the environment, by reducing gas<br />
emissions.<br />
• recertification of the Quality and Environmental Management<br />
System according ISO 9001-2008 and ISO 14001-2004 standards by<br />
Germanicher Lloyd Certification.<br />
