stage, a technical evaluation will be carried out as specified in Clause 3.1.Based on this technical evaluation, a list of short-listed applicants shall beprepared as specified in Clause 3.2. In the second stage, a financial evaluationwill be carried out as specified in Clause 3.3. Proposals will finally be rankedaccording to their combined technical and financial scores as specified inClause 3.4. The first ranked Applicant shall be selected for negotiation (the“Selected Applicant”) while the second ranked Applicant will be kept inreserve.1.7 Currency conversion rate and payment1.7.1 For the purposes of technical evaluation of Applicants, Rs. 40 per US $ shallbe considered as the applicable currency conversion rate. In case of any othercurrency, the same shall first be converted to US$ as on the date 60 (sixty)days prior to the Proposal Due Date, and the amount so derived in US Dollarsshall be converted into Rupees at the aforesaid rate. The conversion rate ofsuch currencies shall be the daily representative exchange rates published bythe International Monetary Fund for the relevant date.1.7.2 All payments to the Consultant shall be made in INR in accordance with theprovisions of this RFP.
