(vi) Way side amenities.(vii) Road safety provisions3.5 All ready to implement, ‘good <strong>for</strong> construction’ drawings shall be prepared <strong>of</strong> allthe <strong>com</strong>ponents <strong>of</strong> the proposal. CPM/ PERT programme <strong>for</strong> <strong>com</strong>plete projectand separate programme <strong>for</strong> major <strong>com</strong>ponent shall also be prepared.3.6 Estimating & Costing <strong>of</strong> each <strong>com</strong>ponent.3.7 Preparation & Submission <strong>of</strong> Feasibility Report which shall include Financialviability under each & several mode.3.8 Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Management Plan andRehabilitation and Resettlement Studies shall be carried out by the Consultant asper the requirements.3.9 Wherever required seek approval from Railways and other authorities.3.10 Submission <strong>of</strong> DPR <strong>com</strong>prising <strong>of</strong> all above details.3.11 Modification in design during execution if required due to site conditions.4. General4.1 Primary TasksGeneral Scope <strong>of</strong> Services shall cover but be not limited to the following majortasks (additional requirements <strong>for</strong> preparation <strong>of</strong> Detailed Project Report MajorBridges are given in Supplement I):i. review <strong>of</strong> all available reports and published in<strong>for</strong>mation about the project roadand the project influence area;ii. Environmental and social impact assessment, including such as related tocultural properties, natural habitants, involuntary resettlement etc.iii. detailed reconnaissance;iv. identification <strong>of</strong> possible improvements in the existing alignment and bypassingcongested locations with alternatives, evaluation <strong>of</strong> different alternatives<strong>com</strong>parison on techno-economic and other considerations andre<strong>com</strong>mendations regarding most appropriate option;v. traffic studies including traffic surveys and Axle load survey and demand<strong>for</strong>ecasting <strong>for</strong> next thirty years;vi. inventory and condition surveys <strong>for</strong> road;vii. inventory and condition surveys <strong>for</strong> bridges, cross-drainage structures anddrainage provisions;viii. detailed topographic surveys using Total Stations and GPS;ix. pavement investigations;x. sub-grade characteristics and strength: investigation <strong>of</strong> required sub-grade andsubsoil characteristics and strength <strong>for</strong> road and embankment design and subsoil investigation;xi. identification <strong>of</strong> sources <strong>of</strong> construction materials;xii. detailed design <strong>of</strong> road, its x-sections, horizontal and vertical alignment anddesign <strong>of</strong> embankment <strong>of</strong> height more than 6m and also in poor soilconditions and where density consideration require, even lesser heightembankment. Detailed design <strong>of</strong> structures preparation <strong>of</strong> GAD andconstruction drawings and cross-drainage structures and underpasses etc.xiii. identification <strong>of</strong> the type and the design <strong>of</strong> intersections;xiv. design <strong>of</strong> <strong>com</strong>plete drainage system and disposal point <strong>for</strong> storm waterxv. value analysis / value engineering and project costing;39
