If a majority of thevotes favor dissolution, the board shall by resolution dissolve thedistrict.105335. The board shall file a certified copy of the resolutionwith the Secretary of State and for record in the office of the countyrecorder of the Counties of Marin and Sonoma and any othercounty in which territory of the district is situated.105336. Upon dissolution, the right, title, and interest to anyproperty owned or controlled by the district which was acquiredby the district from the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway andTransportation District shall be returned to the Golden GateBridge, Highway and Transportation District or disposed of asdesignated by the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway andTransportation District. The right, title, and interest to anyremaining property vests in the county in which it is situated.Transportation District. It is the intent of the Legislature that anyremaining property continue to be held in public ownership. Ajoint powers agency, members of which may include the Countiesof Marin and Sonoma, the North Coast Railroad Authority, and theGolden Gate Bridge, Highway, and Transportation District, maybe formed to hold title to the remaining district property. If a jointpowers agency cannot be formed, the district, in consultation withthe Counties of Marin, Sonoma, Humboldt, and Mendocino, andthe Golden Gate Bridge, Highway, and Transportation District,shall make a recommendation to the Legislature regarding anappropriate disposition of the property.105337.
