Unusually for a Juniorschool it was created vertically, buthas retained a high level ofaccessibility for both students andteachers. It was nominated for theStirling Prize for its innovative buildstyle and compliance with the latestkey drivers in education.Phase One comprises theconstruction of new 4000m²technology block, extending thescience block, to increase thenumber of science laboratories, andassociated landscaping, service andcommunication diversions andextension and external works.Phase Two of the project is basedaround the existing school facilities.The works comprise re-organisationand upgrading of teaching, welfareand administration facilities, newtennis courts and upgrading sportspitches.The project comprises theconstruction of a complete newsecondary school, associated sportsfacilities playing fields, car parkingand external works.
