Education | Capability StatementCDM Co-ordinatorRider Levett Bucknall has the competence and resource to fulfil the CDM co-ordinator dutyholder’s obligations on a wide range of schemes under the Construction (Design andManagement) Regulations 2007.The CDM co-ordinator is a key duty holder under this legislation, and is required, under the CDMregulations, to be competent and adequately resourced and appointed by the Client as soon as ispracticable after initial design work or other preparation for construction works has begun.The CDM co-ordinator is as a key project advisor in respect of construction health and safety riskmanagement matters, and assists the Client to carry out their duties; co-ordinate the health andsafety aspects of the design and initial planning, as well as preparing the necessarydocumentation - including the pre-construction information and health and safety file.The CDM co-ordinator Service combines the knowledge and expertise with a sound knowledgeof legislation to advise and assist Clients of their duties, assist in checking competence andresources of all appointees, co-ordinate health and safety aspects of design work and co-operatewith others involved with the project, facilitate good communication between client, designers andcontractors, liaise with principal contractor regarding ongoing design, identify, collect and pass onpre-construction information and prepare/update the health and safety file. Our approachprovides a comprehensive service, and will include periodic checks to ensure that systems andprocedures continue to work effectively.www.rlb.com
