Building Common Files<br />

This appendix provides guidelines for building a common user authorization file<br />

(UAF) from computer-specific files. It also describes merging RIGHTSLIST.DAT<br />

files.<br />

For more detailed information about how to set up a computer-specific<br />

authorization file, see the descriptions in the <strong>OpenVMS</strong> Guide to System<br />

Security.<br />

B.1 Building a Common SYSUAF.DAT File<br />

To build a common SYSUAF.DAT file, follow the steps in Table B–1.<br />

1 Print a listing of SYSUAF.DAT on each computer. To print this listing, invoke AUTHORIZE<br />

and specify the AUTHORIZE command LIST as follows:<br />
