SALESMaking a Difference…Senior Division Frank Saldivar (Dobrick organization) has taken up ParkLane’s mission to “MAKE A DIFFERENCE” in every way possible. Inparticular, Frank is drawn to the needs of children and has embracedPark Lane’s connection to the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation.As Frank enthusiastically promoted the sale of Starlight bracelets, he began to think of otherways to create funds for the Foundation. As their rally date approached, he contacted hisCompany VP, Dawnette Dobrick, and asked for a few minutes to promote an idea… a raffleto benefit Starlight; Dawnette enthusiastically agreed. Frank designed a beautiful gift basketoverflowing with little gift items that would appeal to women. Of course Park Lane jewelrywas the centerpiece of the basket; sparkling DIVA ensemble added the crowning touch.Frank arranged the gifts in the basket and tied it all together with silk flowers, ribbon and abow.Just before the break, Frank briefly addressed the audience; he described StarlightStarbright, introduced the gift basket, explained raffle tickets would be sold during the breakand that 100% of the proceeds would go to the Foundation. He priced the gift basket raffletickets at just one dollar so as not to conflict with the team raffle, which was designated tooffset the meeting room cost. I was introduced to the Starlight Starbright Foundation at ourJewels by Park Lane, February Biannual Convention in Las Vegas, NV. I was, and continue to be, deeply touched by the services Starlight Starbrightprovides to children with serious conditions and illnesses. I have been a school teacher for years and have a passion for helping and educating ouryouth – and it is evident to me that your organization has the same passion and commitment!In Jewels by Park Lane, we have local monthly Rallies to inspire, train, recognize and motivate our representatives. At our last Executive Managermeeting with Dawnette Dobrick, Company Vice-President, I asked if I can coordinate a fundraiser for the Starlight Starbright Foundation. Dawnette wasthrilled and approved of my coordinating efforts. I made a gift basket with donations and raffled it at our last monthly Rally as a fundraiser.
