He made the Hindi remake<strong>of</strong> this award winning film in 1999, SirfTum.R SARATHA National Award-winning film makerand a former journalist, R. Sarath firststarted his career in the visual mediumby directing documentaries and latershort films. His filmographyincludes Aparichitan, Gubban Moopan’sDream and Mannikan (Tamil). His recentdocumentary, Underground Inferno waslauded by the critics. He received theEmerging Master’s Award at the Seattle<strong>Film</strong> Festival.FTII Gold medalist and son <strong>of</strong> legendaryfilm and television personality, RamanandSagar. Prem Sagar began his career,assisting his father in almost 25 filmsincluding Aarzoo, Ankhen, Geet,Charas and Bhagwat. He debuted as acinematographer with his father’s filmLalkaar and finally donned the director’scap with the Jeetendra and Hema Malinistarrer Hum Tere Ashiq Hain.
