Since then, Pookuttyhas went on to design for critically and commercially acclaimedfilms like Black (2005), Gandhi, My Father (2007), Ghajini (2008)and Slumdog Millionaire (2008) for which he also won theAcademy Award for Best Sound Mixing. The Government <strong>of</strong> Indiahonoured him with the Padma Shri in 2010.
