As aphoto journalist, he has contributed to publications like Life, NewsWeek, Span, TIME. In 1959, four years after serving as KeralaGovernment’s photo artist, he quit to launch Sivan Studios. Hisdebut documentary was An Invitation to Nature’s Paradise. Hehas since then, scripted, directed, composed music and shot 22documentaries in several Indian languages. His debut featurefilm was Swapnam. His other award winning films include Yagam(1981), Mohiniyattom (1990) and Abhayam (1992).
