Skin Types ... what is yours?
Follow this easy guide to determine
your skin type and how to look after
it. Remember to always buy the right
products for your skin type and follow
our best-care tips. Products that are not
appropriate for your skin type will be
ineff ective and could irritate your
skin even more.
Normal Skin: Skin that’s smooth and fi rm
to the touch with small or medium-sized
pores, never gets too dry or too oily and
only suff ers the occasional blemish. Best care
– moisturise, cleanse, use a spot treatment
and maybe a night solution.
Dry Skin: Skin that feels very tight and
is noticeably fl aky in areas. It can be
caused by lack of hydration or malnutrition, can
look rough and bumpy and rarely gets oily. Best
care – a deep moisturiser, use a spot treatment and
also a night serum.

BEAUTY
Oily Skin: Face is visibly shiny and can be slightly
moist to the touch. Oily skin is more prone
to blemishes and has large pores. Best care –
tone, exfoliate, use a spot treatment and lightly
moisturise once in a while.
Combination Skin: Tends to get oily around
your nose, chin and forehead but dry around
your cheek while the rest of your skin is
pretty normal. Best care – exfoliate, cleanse,
moisturise and use a spot treatment.
Sensitive Skin: You might burn easily, react to
cosmetics and fi nd blemishes hard to treat.
Th is is hard to deal with because it’s not
as tolerant as other skin types and you
must test products thoroughly before
purchase. Best care – use a cleanser,
moisturiser and a spot treatment.
Top Tip: ALWAYS cleanse, tone and moisturise
twice a day – once in the morning before you put
on make-up, and once at night before you go to
bed and STICK to your routine!
