The ultra-precise machining ofhigh-pressure injectors ensures a fine-quality spray of fuel into the combustion chambers andoptimises combustion conditions both at cruising speed and during acceleration. Both engines usea high-pressure, steel fuel rail. Fuel in the rail is detected by a high-pressure sensor which controlsflow into the rail by adjusting an electromagnetic valve in the high-pressure fuel pumps’ outlet.Fuel injection system shown here is on the Petrol engine.
