A switch next to the gearselector to electrically apply and release the parking brakeson the rear wheels. A simple pull of the lever applies the brakemanually and a press releases it. Once the vehicle has been accessed usingthe remote transmitter, the device may be stored in a pocket orbag to allow starting without remote transmitter or key beingdocked.
