If a 180-minute ETOPS MMEL does not exist for the airplane,the certificate holder must apply to the FAA for any additional items thatmay be applicable for 138-minute operations.4. 138-minute ETOPS authority is used when the route cannot beefficiently operated under 120-minute ETOPS.5. The certificate holder must operate in accordance with the ETOPSauthority as contained in its OpSpecs.Certificate holderwith 120-minuteETOPS authoritymay apply to theFAA.
