<strong>Final</strong> <strong>Report</strong> of MT019. Discussion and conclusionSixteen calibration laboratories in Thailand participated into this interlaboratorycomparison of torque with cross force from 40 N·m to 400 N·m clockwise andanticlockwise direction. High accuracy torque transfer wrench was circulated as theartifact for the whole comparison. In order to ensure the reliability of the artifact, theartifact was tuned back to pilot laboratory to monitoring the stability every week duringthe comparison was being done. From the monitoring results, the behaviors of the artifactduring the comparison period were well characterized and it was confirmed that thecapabilities of artifact to achieve this comparison were sufficient.Not only comparison process but also observation of creep of the loader and effectof varied cross force was required as the metrology investigation. The observations wereuseful to understand their behavior. From this knowledge, it is possible to reasonablyestimate the uncertainty due to creep of the loader and varied cross force effect.Participant’s technical competences were determined and were expressedquantitatively by two terms, deviation from the reference values and E n numbers. Thecalibration capability in the range 40 N·m to 400 N·m clockwise and anticlockwisedirection of sixteen participating laboratories were generally found acceptability withintheir claimed uncertainties. The results of this comparison were satisfactory.33
