It’s a three-cylinder,turbo-charged dieselthat’ll make your headspin.”One of the biggestchanges over the past coupleof years for Luttrull-McNattChevrolet is that now closeto 50-percent of its salesdeals are done online, somethingwhich certainly benefitsthe customer, Joey said.“It’s simple and it’seasy. If you could call agrocery store and get thema list, and all you had to dowas pull up, walk in, payyour tab and put your stuffin your car, how much easierwould that be?”There’s no bait-andswitch,Joey said, and customerscan rest assured thatprices for vehicles quotedonline will be the same dealsyou can get in person.“We’re not going toforce you to come in to talkabout it. We’ll really workwith you online,” Joey said.“We’re going to tell you thetruth. We’re going to beup-front. We’re going to betransparent and honest.”If a potential customersubmits a request for pricingon either a new or preownedvehicle, Luttrull-Mc-Natt Chevrolet will givechoices of vehicles and theprice that they can offer –not the sticker price – thenwill answer any questionsthe customer may have. Ifthe customer wishes to purchasethe vehicle, the entiredeal can be structured andput together electronically.Trade-ins can be appraisedonline, subject to officialinspection when the tradeinvehicle arrives, and if thecustomer needs to procurefinancing, they can also submittheir application online.“Everything is done andprocessed online, and we eitherdeliver the car to yourdoorstep or you come pickit up in Sanger,” Joey said.“We do really like for peopleto come to the dealershipto pick it up, though. Thesecars are so complicated todayand do so much that it’seasier to have you here andshow you how everythingworks.”Financing has easedup since the recession daysof 2008-09, making it easierthan one may think toget in a new vehicle, and ifLuttrull-McNatt Chevroletin Sanger doesn’t carry thespecific vehicle a customerwants, they can always findit for the customer.“It’s very easily done.We can get you any color,package, or anything specificyou want in a vehicle,”Joey said. “I’ve got fivesalespeople here in Sangerand they’ll all do anythingthey can for you.”Those salespeople, aswell as Joey, are committedto good, small-town customerservice, and try every dayto exceed the expectationsof their customers, even afterthe sale.“You know, I may beold-school, and my dealershipmay never be gigantic,but I’ve always believed thatthe most important principalis that you have to beapproachable – a real, liveperson that someone canmeet and visit with. If somebodyhas a problem or complaintor needs somethingaddressed, I’m the ownerand I’ll take your phone call.It’s about personal service,”Joey said. “It’s not just me.Mark Engman has been insales here for eight years.Duane Ashford, who livesin Krum with his daughter,has recently joined us insales. They allhave the same principalsthat I do.”Joey said the communityof Sanger has been goodto the dealership, and thatmany have been a source ofsupport as his wife of oneyear, Wayla, battled breastcancer recently.“My wife and I live inPonder, but I’ve got somegreat friends in Sanger thatI’m very grateful for. Steveand Nancy Hollingsworth,Kerry Lee Schertz, they’relike family to me. It wasa tough road for my wife,but after three surgeries andalmost 40 radiation treatments,she’s clear of cancernow. I’ve learned a lot frommy wife through this. Evenduring all of the treatments,she never missed a beat. Thesurgeries were rugged andpainful, but she still goes allout in everything she does.”Although Joey expandedhis business by buyingthe former Brown MotorCo. in Gainesville in 2009– now named Luttrull-Mc-Natt Buick/Chevrolet/GMC, his heart is in Sanger,which saw him through therecession years.“Sanger is just so great.We have loyal customersand happy people, and repeatbusiness is strong. Wealso pull a lot of businessfrom Krum – doing abouta dozen deals from Krumcustomers each month –andthe surrounding cities,” Joeysaid. “Quite frankly, wesurvived the shutdowns in2008-09 because of repeatreferral business. At thattime, this store was 140-percentmarket effective inSanger, Texas, which meantthat we controlled 40-percentmore of our marketthan we were responsiblefor. More and more peopleare moving here with cityfolks trying to get their kidsout of the city school and tothe country.
