Hisresponsibilities include USA TODAY, the nation’s top-selling newspaper; USA TODAY.com, an award-winning news and information Website; USA TODAY LIVE, the television arm of USATODAY; USA WEEKEND, a national newspaper magazine; and USA TODAY Sports Weekly, a weeklysports magazine.Also reporting to Moon is a number of other Gannett Co, Inc operations. <strong>The</strong>y are: PointRoll, Inc, a providerof rich media marketing services and technologies; Army Times Publishing Co; Gannett Offset; and theDetroit Newspaper Partnership LP.Previously, Moon was executive vice president of Gannett’s Newspaper Division. Prior to that, he waspresident and publisher of <strong>The</strong> Tennessean at Nashville and was also president of the Gannett PiedmontNewspaper Group.He joined Gannett in 1985 as vice president – advertising of <strong>The</strong> Cincinnati Enquirer and <strong>The</strong> CincinnatiPost. In 1988, he became president and publisher of <strong>The</strong> News-Press at Ft Myers, Fla. A year later, he assumeda similar role at the Arkansas Gazette at Little Rock. He joined <strong>The</strong> Tennessean as president in May 1991.He later assumed the role of publisher. He served as a vice president in the South Newspaper Group beforebecoming president of the Piedmont Group in 1999.Geoff Muirhead CBEGroup Chief Executive<strong>The</strong> Manchester Airports GroupGeoff commenced his career in the construction industry prior to joining ManchesterAirport plc in 1988 as Director of Development. He was appointed Chief Executive ofManchester Airport plc in 1994 and Group Chief Executive of <strong>The</strong> Manchester Airport Group plc in 2001.He was awarded the CBE in the Queens New Years Honours list in 2004, adding to his significant otherpersonal achievements, which include honorary doctorates from the University of Salford, ManchesterMetropolitan University and Teesside University. In 2001 he was recognised by the CBI as North WestBusiness Executive of the Year. Additionally, Geoff is a fellow of the Institute of Civil Engineers, CharteredInstitute of Transport, Royal Society of Arts and Royal Aeronautical Society.Geoff holds a number of external appointments and is on the Board of Airports Council Internationaland; Manchester Metropolitan University; Member CBI North West Regional Council; Deputy Chair ofthe North West Business Leadership Team; Associate Member of the Greater Manchester Chamber and;Executive Board Member of the North West Regional Assembly.54
