It lies immediately alongside anarea of ridge and furrow cultivation at Pant y Llyn farmstead.Plate 44: A small raised bog, known as Black Pit. It may have palaeoenvironmentalpotential as it lies due west of the cultivated area around Pant y Llyn and north of anothercultivated area on Waun Hirwaun, and also close to the <strong>Banc</strong> y <strong>Celyn</strong> Stone Circle.77
