Item 9July 19, 2012 - Item 9RESOLUTION NO. 2012-15RESOLUTION OF THE WATERSHED CONSERVATION AUTHORITYTO AWARD A CONTRACT TO PHOENIX CIVIL ENGINEERING, INC.TO PREPARE WATER SUPPLY PLAN FOR THE DUCK FARMWHEREAS, The Watershed Conservation Authority has been established as a jointpowers agency between the Rivers and Mountains Conservancy (RMC) and the LosAngeles County Flood Control District (District); andWHEREAS, the Watershed Conservation Authority (WCA) has further been establishedto focus on projects which will provide open space, habitat restoration, and watershedimprovement projects in both the San Gabriel and Lower Los Angeles Riverswatershed; andWHEREAS, this action will award a contract to Phoenix Civil Engineering, Inc. forpreparation of water supply plan; andWHEREAS, the proposed action is exempt from the provisions of the CaliforniaEnvironmental Quality Act; NOWTherefore be it resolved that the WCA hereby:1. FINDS that the actions contemplated by this resolution are exempt from theenvironmental impact report requirements of the California EnvironmentalQuality Act (CEQA).2. ADOPTS the staff report dated July 19, 2012.3. AWARDS a contract to Phoenix Civil Engineering, Inc. in the amount of $12,000for preparation of water supply plan for the Duck Farm.4.
