Module and Overlay are the most basic containers, andthey can be used directly or extended to build custom containers. Also part of the Containerfamily are four UI controls that extend Module and Overlay: Tooltip, Panel, Dialog, andSimpleDialog. The containers which are useful for the creation of the graphic interface of oureditor tool are Panel, Dialog and SimpleDialog. I will shortly describe these components andshow some examples of the their great interactive and graphic qualities.The Panel control is an extension of Overlay that is meant to behave similarly to an OS window.Unlike true browser popup windows, panels are floating DHTML elements embedded directlywithin the page context. The Panel control extends the functionality of Overlay, adding supportfor modality, drag and drop, and close/dismiss buttons. Panel includes a pre-defined stylesheetto support default look and feel characteristics.
