McCreary (61)Alfred Brandeis McCreary, great nephew of Federal Supreme Court Justice Louis D.Brandeis, dies at 88Alfred Brandeis McCreary, 88, died Thursday, October 10, 2002.A native of Louisville, he was employed by Kentucky Slate Government in Frankfort, Ky., HomeBuilders Association of Louisville, Better Business Bureau and the old Staples Advertising. He was acaptain in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II, an alumnus of Louisville Male <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> andRollins College in Winter Park, Florida, and a great-nephew of Federal Supreme Court Justice LouisBrandeis. He was a member of Buckner Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia A. McCreary, who died on March 9, 2002.Survivors: a son, Stephen D. McCreary; two daughters, Allyn M.Scbadt and Adele M. DeFosset; abrother, Bruce McCreary of Richmond, Virginia; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joyce and TomNolot of Pekin, Indiana; a brother-in-law, Evan Hendricks of Jeffersonville, Indiana; six grandchildren;six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.Funeral services were held at Arch L. Heady & Son Hikes Point Funeral Home with intermerit in EvergreenCemetery.Memorial gifts: Buckner Baptist Church.
