Waggener Alumni Necrology and Family Obituaries:Edwin L. Rogers (61)ROGERS, ELIZABETH H., 84, of St. Matthews, passed awayWednesday, July 30, 2008. Elizabeth was a U.S. Navy veteran and aWAVE in World War II. Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by herhusband, John Shelby Rogers; brother, Ellis Hood; and sisters, Mary Emma Slucher,Cleo Atwood, Kate Gibbs and Sarah Pruitt. She is survived by her sons,Ray and Eddie Rogers; daughter, Mary A. Littrell; 10 grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren;and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held11 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2008 at Foreman's, 10600 Taylorsville Rd., Jeffersontown,with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be after 10 a.m.Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the WHASCrusade for Children.
