assessed against the criteria of internationalstandards applicable to most of IPC Class 3.In fiscal year 2010/2011 the ProductionPlant Brno was one of the implementersof the project „Restructuring of ProductionPlant“. As part of this project primarilyproducts of electronic and electro-technicalcharacter were taken from the productionprogram of Production Plant Prague, andsubsequently products of engineering characterwere passed from the production programof Production Plant Brno to the ProductionPlant Olomouc. Along with coping withextreme swings in the manufacturing capacityof the Production Plant during the last fiscalyear, the restructuring of the project wasas a challenge for the production managementand especially for departments of productionplanning and logistics.Cooperation production of electronicconfigurations for external customers andprimarily the production of electromechanicalvacuum sub assemblies (called consoles)of electron microscopes for FEI Companyhas a large share in the production volumesof the Production Plant Brno. Active approachof AŽD Prague to cooperate with thisimportant partner contributed to our winningthe tender for suppliers of higher unitsof electron microscopes. In the fiscal year2010/2011 new technologically clean manufacturingfacilities with an area of 750 m 2in Brno Street Gromešova, were put into operation,which represents not only doublingof the current production capacity, but alsoopens up a space for further developmentof future cooperation.Environmental protectionThe Production Plant Brno contributes toenvironmental protection within the environmentalpolicy and strategy of AŽDPraha, specifically by consistent utilisationof lead-free alloys in all soldering processesduring production of electronic andelectro-technical configurations of its ownproduction. The ban of use of lead in electro-technicaland electronic products asstipulated in the Directive EU 2002/95/ECRoHS and adopted by the Act No. 185/2001Coll., on waste, is thus adhered to.PRODUCTION PLANTOLOMOUCWithin the specialisation of productionplants the Production Plant Olomoucis focused on engineering production.The plant is equipped with modern, highperformance programme-controlled CNCmachining centers Mazak,, some of whichwere, owing to a successful project, co-financedby the European Fund for RegionalDevelopment and the Ministry of Industryand Trade of the CR.Also acquisition of sheet bending andshearing machines, TRUBEND 5170 CNCpress brake and TRUSHARE 3103 CNC plateshears and also purchase of BUA 25B/1250Practic universal plain grinder were a partof the project.Additional modern sheet metal formingmachines have been moved to the ProductionPlant Olomouc within the restructuringof production plants. TRUMPF TruPunch3000 punching centre and SAFAN e-Brake150-3100 TS1 press brake, owing to whichthe production of cabinet program waslaunched during the year in the ProductionPlant Olomouc.High quality and accuracy of the productsare also ensured owing to LK G-90C 3Dmeasuring centre and FARO Gate plus 3Dportable measuring equipment.Owing to the new machines and equipmentit is possible to apply successfullythe outputs of AŽD Praha research and developmentdepartments and to position33
