The profilespecifies how to make the capture, what media format(s) should be produced in output and may specify how itis produced. The FIMS framework does not require having visibility of the actual content of the profile, whichcan be service provider specific. The only requirement for the profile is to have a reference to the ID of theformat(s) it produces as result of the capture operation.8.2.1.3.1.2.2.1 ParametersParameter Type DescriptionformatID[1..*]FormatRefTypeThe format ID(s) associated with thisprofile. It might be the same as the mediaprofile ID, but not necessarily, since thereis in general a n to 1 relationship betweena profile and the media format(s) itproduces (meaning that there are manydifferent ways to create the same format).Providing the format ID in the mediaprofile allows the FIMS framework to beaware of which profiles can produce therequired format and make intelligentdecision on the choice of a suitableprovider for a media-processing job. Itshould be noted that the profile mightcarry (in the “any” container) serviceproviderspecific information to map eachspecified format ID to the service providerspecific format definitions.8.2.1.3.2 Capture Request AcknowledgementWhen a job is submitted to the capture media service, the service shall reply with an acknowledgement. It extends the base FaultType, and addsan extended code which allows to set adapter-specific error codes if needed. If an exception is generated whenthe capture request message is submitted to the adapter, the adapter shall respond with a message based onthe CaptureFaultType.Specific error codes for the capture media service are enumerated in CaptureErrorCodeType, such as:- DATA0200: Invalid target media format- DATA0201: Invalid source ID8.2.1.3.4 CaptureNotificationTypeIf the notifyAt element is set in the job capture request, then the service shall respond with a notification to thespecified endpoint when the job completes. The capture notification message uses the CaptureNotificationType,which extends the MediaResponseType described in the base schema.The optional sourceID element provides the allocated device ID for the capture (VTR, Input port etc.).8.2.1.3.5 CaptureFaultNotificationTypeThis type provides fault information for the capture service fault notification. It extends the base response type,since the base response type provides information on the invoked job and operation, which allow correlating thenotification with the original asynchronous request. Fault information is provided with the CaptureFaultType.
