Orphan Rights

Familyto forget all the pain withthe first sight of her child.Then comes the process ofnursing, caring, wakefulness,and increasing anxiety, justif the child temperature rises,by only one degree. Mothergives all of that without beingbored, without resentment,and without complain, asif she is doing it, withoutfeeling, and without payingattention. That is just a fewof the many that mothergives and does. So whateverchildren do to compensatetheir mother, they will nevergive her the due rights shedeserves.A man came to the Prophet,peace be upon him, duringTawaf, carrying his motherand asked the Messenger,peace be upon him: “HaveI compensated her the duerights she deserves?” TheMessenger, peace be uponhim, said: “No, not even witha single sight she did whilegiving birth to you or nursingyou.”Another man came tothe Messenger, peace beupon him, and said to him:“I wanted to fight, in thecause of Allah, and I cameto consult with you.” TheMessenger, peace be uponhim, said: “Do you have amother?” He said: “Yes.”The Messenger said: “Staywith her, for Paradise is ather feet. In another report,he, the Messenger, said:“Do you have parents?” Theman said: “Yes.” He, theMessenger, said: “Stay withthem, for Paradise is beneaththeir feet.Mother often sacrificesher own life and personallegal rights in the sake ofher children. She might bedivorced or her husbanddies, yet, she keeps herselfaway from her children,which is the hardest typesof sacrifice mother cando. It is painful becauseshe suffers the difficulty ofbeing a mother, as wellas being lonely, in livingand in responsibility. TheMessenger, peace be uponhim, praised these kinds ofwomen and said women ofthis kind enjoy a great placeof being beside him, peacebe upon him, on the Day ofResurrection. He says: “I anda woman of dark cheeksare like these, on the Dayof Resurrection. A woman,of position and beauty, didnot get married after herhusband died.
