56 Letters from Srfla Prabhupiidaare not therefore in the right consciousnessif you do not believe in Him.I am prepared to convince you in everyrespect that there is our Eternal Fatherand He wants you and all of us to go backto our permanent home . If you argue thatthere is no such Father God at all, then Iam still more prepared to argue with youin all seriousness. In that case you maykindly let me know your definite viewpoints relevently so that I may try to replythese points one by one. And should youdesire to argue with me, then my only requestto you will be that for all such argumentswe must be always very sincere andserious. Once we are convinced in thatway, we must be prepared to act accordingly. You may also argue that if there is anyGod at all , let Him be peacefully at Hispleasure at any place He likes and we haveno business with Him whatsoever. In thatcase I shall again say that you have everybusiness with Him by re-establishing yourforgotten eternal relation with Him.Suppose you are a rich man's son andyou have left your home, fo rgetting yourfather's property, home and happiness. And if some body gives you informationabout your paternal property of immensevalue which you can inherit by your birthrightclaim, will you neglect that friend? Iam sure you will not. I am able to give yousuch important information.I can challenge you that you are nothappy in the present set up of your affairs. You may have in your possession your socalled accumulated material wealth, health or happiness but still you are alwaysfeeling some insufficiency and frustrationand thus you are not happy as youought to have been . If you donot feel likethis, then you must be either an abnormalman or a liberated saint or in gross ignoranceof lower consciousness. Should youfeel yourself abnormally happy, I shallask you the following plain questions. They are as follows:-1) Do you like to die?2) Do you like to take your birth again?3) Do you like to be an old man?4) Do you like to be a diseased man?I am sure you shall reply to all thesequestions by saying the only word 'No.' Ifyou think yourself happy then have yousolved all the above problems in any way?Have your vast resources of materialknowledge helped you in solving theseseemingly common but very big problems?Do you think that you shall ever beable to solve the above problems at anylength of time? If you say so, I shall againcall you in abnormal condition. So donot become a madman in falseconviction. Do not remain in ignorancefor your problems. Be just like a fully developedconscious man and acknowledgethat you have never been happy in the truesense of the term neither your ideal ofhappiness has ever been fulfilled. The way in which you are seeking to behappy or trying to make others happy inyour manufactured ideology-is called'Maya' or illusion. By such illusory wayof making yourself and others happy, youhave simply been credited with creation ofmuch disturbances and entanglement forall concerned. That is the record of historyof the material world. Empire maycome and empire may go, the problems oflife remains the same. Please therefore becool headed and patiently ask withinyourself if you are really happy. The happiness which you arehankering after is possible to be attainedas soon as you learn to introspect yourselfwithin yourself. Yo u are yourself yourfriend and you are yourself your enemy. You can raise yourself by your self effortand you can down yourself by the same effort. It is simply to know the direction andthe way. In the right direction you can
