Ihope my project to start a Temple of SriSri Radha Krishna in New York will alsobe realised by the Grace of the Lord. SirPadampat Singhania of Kanpur J.K. Organisation,has kindly agreed to constructa nice Temple of Sri Sri Radha Krishna inNew York. I am trying to solve the exchangeproblem by all means and I amseeing some light for this purpose also.Since I came down to New York <strong>from</strong>Butler Pennsylvania, I have rented theabove room at $70.00 per month and I amdelivering lectures on the Bhagwat Geetaand Srimad Bhagwatam accompanied bySamkirtan and the American ladies andgentlemen come to hear me. You will besurprised to know that they do not understandthe language of the Samkirtanandyet they hear with attention. The movementwhich I have started here is completelynew to them because theAmericans are generally acquainted withthe Indian Yoga gymnastics as it is performedby some Indian yogis here. Theynever heard of Bhakti cult or the Scienceof Krishna before and still they are hearingme,-this very idea is a great successfor me.Now I shall require some Samkirtaninstruments <strong>from</strong> India and three men toassist me in my missionary activities. Andif the Temple is started I have to bringmany things <strong>from</strong> India and I wish thatyou may kindly arrange for free conveyanceof my men and goods in this connection.I have already asked one of my devoteesin Calcutta to send two Mridangas forSankirtan and I have advised him to depositthe same with your manager in Calcuttafor carriage to New York by any oneof your ships. Kindly issue instructions toyour Managers in Calcutta and Cochin tocarry my things as abovementioned freeand oblige.In India when I started for America,your goodness promised to reply my letterregularly but I have not received repliesfor my two letters. Please therefore seethat my letters addressed to you may beduly replied. I have come here in thisoldage neither for sightseeing nor for anypersonal interest. It is for the interest ofthe entire humanity that I am trying to implementthe science of Krishna which willactually make them happy.
