Boring Wheel Mill trackThat the repair of the Boring Wheel Mill track has been completed <strong>to</strong> their satisfaction and an account of theexpenditure thereon will be submitted shortly.Albert Wood trespassRanger Brown reports that on 7th September having found grass and rushes had been cut on the <strong>Forest</strong> on theEast side of Isle of Thorns, he watched and on the following evening Albert Wood of Chelwood came with abarrow, loaded up the material, and cut more. On being tackled by Ranger Brown he admitted cutting at the samespot this year and last and removing the cuttings by night. The Clerk reports he wrote <strong>to</strong> Wood requiring paymen<strong>to</strong>f 5/- and a written promise not <strong>to</strong> cut again without a licence, and after some correspondence Wood compliedwith both requirements.Turner & Son licence for depositThe Clerk reports that on 8th September last he granted a Licence <strong>to</strong> A. Turner & Son of Nutley <strong>to</strong> deposit larchpoles on the <strong>Forest</strong> near New Bridge pending removal by traction engine.Duckworth G.H. claim <strong>to</strong> rightsThe Clerk submits a claim by Mr. G.H. Duckworth of Dalingridge Place <strong>to</strong> rights of common in respect of hisproperty. It is Resolved that the Clerk investigate the same and report.Aegen Gill application <strong>to</strong> alter roadMr. Martin states that Mr. Bond of Aegen Gill has applied for permission <strong>to</strong> alter the road from Aegen Gill. It isResolved that the application be referred <strong>to</strong> the <strong>Forest</strong> Row Committee with power <strong>to</strong> actAudit CommitteeIt is Resolved that the Honble H.B. Portman and Messrs. Sandford and Turner be appointed a Committee <strong>to</strong> auditthe accounts for the year ending 31st December next.Mr. Joseph Ridley enquired what steps the Board, having at the last meeting admitted Mr. Wm. Izzard’s claim <strong>to</strong>rights, propose <strong>to</strong> take with regard <strong>to</strong> other small occupiers on the <strong>Forest</strong> who applied in 1906. It is Resolved thatthe Clerk bring the matter before the next meeting.ChequesIt is Resolved that the following cheques be drawn namely:Ranger Kirby 9 weeks salary as Rangerand house rent <strong>to</strong> 12th inst. £11.5.0Insurance 9 weeks £0.2.3£11.7.3Ranger Brown 9 weeks salary as Second Ranger<strong>to</strong> 12th inst. £9.0.0Insurance 9 weeks £0.2.3£9.2.3It is resolved that the next annual meeting of the Commoners be convened for Friday the 18th December next at11 a.m. and that the next meeting of the Board be held on the same day immediately after the Commoners meetingor on such other date as the Chairman may consider necessary.The meeting terminated at 4 p.m.G.M.
