Alastair has also been aNon-executive Director of the Department forTransport and of the Department for Work andPensions.A Fellow of the Institute of CharteredAccountants, he was awarded the CBE in the2001 Birthday Honours for services to socialsecurity.Henry Engelhardt (50)Chief Executive OfficerHenry is a founder Director of Admiral and wasrecruited by the Brockbank Group in 1991 to setup the Admiral business.He was part of the management team that ledthe MBO in 1999. Prior to joining Admiral, hewas Marketing and Sales Manager for ChurchillInsurance.He has substantial experience in direct responsefinancial services in the United Kingdom, UnitedStates and France. He has an MBA from Insead.Kevin Chidwick (44)Finance DirectorKevin is responsible for finance, informationtechnology, facilities and investments. Hejoined Admiral in 2005, becoming a Director inSeptember 2006.Prior to Admiral, Kevin has been in UK financialservices for over 20 years. He has held a numberof senior roles in other insurance organisationsincluding, most recently, Finance Director ofEngage Mutual Assurance and Cigna UK.He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute ofCertified Accountants and has an MBA fromLondon Business School.David Stevens (46)Chief Operating OfficerDavid is a founder Director of Admiral. Initiallythe Marketing Director, he was appointedDirector responsible for pricing in 1996 andclaims and pricing in 1999. He was appointed asChief Operating Officer in 2004.He joined Admiral in 1991 from McKinsey & Co.where he worked in the Financial Interest Group,London office.
