In that strategy the organisation of theCCS Network plays a large role as does the long-term incentives for CCSdeployment. Especially on these issues, the cooperation with the ClintonClimate Initiative (CCI) becomes more intense. In such a LoC companies orconsortia promise to do a prefeasibility study and RCI promises to supply anindependent expert to validate the studies. Early in 2009 RCI signed a LoCwith nine companies including E.ON and Electrabel. E.ON and Electrabelexplicitly decided in this period to look at a joint demonstration project. Afew months later they submit a joint proposal for the European EEPRsubsidy scheme: the ROAD project.
