The Sultanatefavours simple mo<strong>no</strong>chromatic clothing exceptby <strong>the</strong> rich and powerful, usually a good way tospot <strong>the</strong>m in a crowd so as to give <strong>the</strong>m plenty <strong>of</strong>respects and a wide berth. Sultanate men likebillowing robes while with women tend to wearei<strong>the</strong>r all covering robes or pants and halter topwith a gauzy cloak. The Senpet men <strong>of</strong> class tendto dress in simple kilts, while labourers andslaves <strong>of</strong>ten wore a loincloth or <strong>no</strong>thing at all.Senpet women wore elaborate loose skirts,girdles, petticoats and shirts, usually <strong>of</strong> silk if<strong>the</strong>y were <strong>of</strong> <strong>no</strong>ble birth. Often <strong>the</strong>se clo<strong>the</strong>s hada gauzy look to <strong>the</strong>m and were skin-tight. Motomen and women wear various clo<strong>the</strong>s similar tothose <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Unicorn clan <strong>of</strong> Rokugan. Splitskirt/pants, tunics, s<strong>of</strong>t boots and cloaks arecommon among <strong>the</strong> Moto <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Steppes.Clothing is ei<strong>the</strong>r made <strong>of</strong> simple cloth or silk.All items here are made <strong>of</strong> cloth. Anyone may take askill from <strong>the</strong> Main, Warrior or Merchantcategories. High and Middle caste are allowedskills from <strong>the</strong> High category. Forbidden skillsare generally ig<strong>no</strong>red by most and unfortunatelypossessed by many. Anyone may take aForbidden skill, though <strong>the</strong>y must pay 2x <strong>the</strong>regular amount to raise it. People caught usingsuch skills are <strong>of</strong>ten shunned, arrested andsometimes even attacked. Certain skills can <strong>no</strong>tbe raised above 2 or 3 based on ones upbringingas well. Check upbringing packages to determinewhich <strong>the</strong>re are.
