Registration isnot completed until measurement andweight requirements have been checked,and Sailing Instructions and Waiver of Liabilityhave been acknowledged.Launching: Launching will occur at Headquarters.The City of Oshkosh requiresall boats launching at Miller’s Bay to acquireand display a launch pass. Multi-daypasses may be purchased in advance fromthe OYC website or during the Regatta atHeadquarters.Practice Race: A combined practicerace for any Senior or Junior who wishesto participate will be held at 3:00 p.m. onWednesday, July 24. More details will beavailable at Check-in.Competitors Briefings: The competitors’briefings will be held at 5:30 p.m.,Wednesday, July 24, at The Waters, 1393Washington Ave. Opening ceremonieswill immediately follow.Race ScheduleThe Warning Signal for the first race,Thursday, July 25, will be at 10:00 a.m.Except when races are sailed back to back,the approximate time of the warning signalfor subsequent races will be posted.If three races are completed, no warningsignal will be made after 12:00 Noon onSaturday, July 27. In any case, no warningsignal will be made after 1:00 p.m. on Saturday,July 27.Eight races are scheduled for each fleet.Every effort will be made to complete allscheduled races during the course of theregatta. If six or more races are completed,a throw-out race will be figured in the finalscoring.EligibilityThe Regatta is open to skippers whocomply with the requirements prescribedby the ILYA bylaws and are Family, Regular,Youth, or Life members of the ILYA.Crew become members of the <strong>Association</strong>by virtue of their yacht’s completed registration.For membership information,please contact the ILYA office at (262)203-7721, email ScowSlants@aol.comor visit the web at www.ILYA.org. ILYAMember Club requirements apply. SeeILYA By-laws 12.22 and 12.23.All skippers in Class X and crew whoturn 16 during or after the calendar year<strong>2013</strong> may participate. Only skippers whoturn 14 or younger in the calendar year<strong>2013</strong> are eligible to sail in the Junior Fleet.Skippers who turn 15 or 16 during the calendaryear <strong>2013</strong> must sail in the SeniorFleet. Crew members may sail in eitherfleet as long as they are not older than 16in the calendar year <strong>2013</strong>.SocialLunches: Lunches will be servedThursday, Friday and Saturday. Saturday’slunch will be a suitable “to-go” if necessary.Wednesday, July 24: Competitor’sBriefing will be held at 5:30 p.m. at TheWaters followed by Opening Ceremoniesand Dinner.Thursday, July 25: No scheduled eveningactivities.Friday, July 26: X <strong>Inland</strong> Gala - Dinnerand “Minute to Win It” competition atThe Waters.Volleyball: Starting on Thur., July 25.FeesThe entry fee is $100 per yacht. Registrationpayments must be postmarked orotherwise received by July 10 to avoid a$20 late entry fee prescribed by the ILYAbylaw 12.18.30d. Registrations on site aresubject to a $30 late penalty.Lunch and Social tickets may be purchasedon-line (www.oshkoshyachtclub.org) prior to the event, at check-in, and inlimited quantities throughout the regatta.Regatta merchandise is also available fororder on the website. Limited styles andquantities of merchandise will be availablefor purchase at Headquarters.TrophiesPerpetual trophies are awarded to thewinning skippers of each race. The top 15skipper and crew in both the Junior andSenior fleets will receive trophies. Thetop female skippers in each fleet will alsoreceive individual trophies. A final trophypresentation will follow the racing.RisksSailing is an activity that has an inherentrisk of damage and injury. Competitorsin this event are participating entirelyat their own risk. See RRS 4, Decisionto Race. The race organizers (organizingauthority, race committee, protest committee,host club, sponsors, or any otherorganization or official) will not be responsiblefor damage to any boat or otherproperty or the injury to any competitor,including death, sustained as a result ofparticipation in this event. By participatingin this event, each competitor, or in thecase of minors, each competitor’s parentor guardian, agrees to release the race organizersfrom any and all liability associatedwith such competitor’s participationin this event to the fullest extent permittedby law.Rules1. Except as any of the following arealtered by the Sailing Instructions, the regattawill be governed by the rules as definedin The Racing Rules of Sailing, theprescriptions of the United States Sailing<strong>Association</strong>, and the Rules and Bylawsof the ILYA, and the ILYA Class X Boatscantlings.2.
