Transfer students with 60 or moretransferable semester units who are admitted to theCollege of Letters and Science must have satisfied theEssential Skills in (1) reading and composition, (2)foreign language, and (3) quantitative reasoning, prior toadmission. Also the seven-course breadth requirementsfor courses outside the field of the major are requiredof all junior transfers.
