The real esoteric teachings of Christ aregenerally lost sight of in the light of therecords of His numerous miracles andhealings. For the greatness of Christ layin the fact that He in His own good timeconnected individual souls to the Lordthrough the agency of God's Word, thePrimal Sound Current . . . "the stringfrom the Nameless Lord." Christ spokeof the two phases of the inner Path ofLight and Sound, but to suit the timeand place in which He lived and taught,He cloaked the truth in parable and allegorywhich only the initiated couldcomprehend, according to their own levelof awakening. In His own time, Heshowed how God would live if He werea man. [See Nnam or Word by KirpalSingh for further reference to Christ'sesoteric teachings.]SAT SANDESH
The Master on Spiritad Hedingfrom a letter to an initiate, originallypublished by the New York SatsangSPIRITUAL healing is prohibited by theMasters. It has reasons and deepersignificance behind it, which ordinarilypeople ignore, considering the face valueof the profits accrued and attributing itas service to the suffering humanity. Theinexorable Law of Karma is supremeand demands adjustment of each farthing. The human body is the highest rungin creation granted by Providence forthe spiritual perfection of soul duringthis i~carnation. The soul in man beingthe essence of God Himself has thesame attributes as those of God, buthaving been environed by mind andmatter has lost its true heritage. Soul inits present state is gravely enmeshed bybody and bodily attachments, which aremore or less the reaction of past Karma, which it has been contracting all throughup to the present incarnation. The presentearth life is a passing phase in thelong journey of the soul from the lowercategories of creation on to the TrueHome of the Father. Physical body ismaterial but the soul is spiritual, butwhen reaction of Karma occurs the manis bound to suffer pain and pleasure. Now the sufferings demanding spiritualhealing fall mainly in the domainof physical troubles, which may includeeven mental agonies such as nervousbreakdown etc. These, being the reactionsof the past Karma, must demandadjustment and as such are to be borneby the victim. The healer, whoever heMay 1976may be, conducting this service takes thekarma on his head, to be borne by himat a later stage. Besides, the bit of spiritualattainment he has attained insilencing his mind, is dissipated in suchgestures of a miracle healing. Moreover, this process of healing is administeredon weaker minds, which usually fall aprey to their sentiments. What canordinarily be cured by undergoing a bitof suffering and medicine, is exchangedfor spiritual dissipation, and the debtremains standing, awaiting adjustmentat a later stage. Again, this sort of healingbecomes professional and at timesencourages corruption and misery. It notonly invites malpractices, but brings inmore mental agony and wretchednessin multiplied form added with interest. This is a causal postponement of paymentfor a future date, and adds strongfetters over the soul.Contrarily, the Masters advocate rightliving and right thinking. A disciplineddevotee of the Master is advised to leada pure, clean, chaste life thereby pursuinga spiritual goal under the protectiveguidance. The implicit obedience of thedietary regulations and leading a simpletruthful life leads to happiness and joy.If, however, some suffering due to theevolutions of past Karma comes, itsseverity and duration is much toneddown by the intervention of the graciousMaster Power, like a penny for a pound,or a needle prick for the gallows, and
