gas installation for domestic usesupplied from main distribution networkThe standard UNI 7129 states the procedure for carrying out the tightnesstesting on domestic installations and similars for the use of fuel gas suppliedfrom the distribution network. In this case:• the testing will be carried out before the setting up of the internal installation,the connection to the gas meter, the connection to the devices and thepipeline covering, using air or inert gas introduced by the proper pressureoutlet positioned downstream of the starting point;• the testing pressure must be comprised between 100 mbar and 150 mbar,after pressurization it will be necessary to wait for stabilization for at least 15minutes;• the first pressure reading is performed by using a pressure gauge withsensitivity not lower than 0,1 mbar. A second reading will be done after 15minutes from the first one;• the testing result is positive if both readings do not show any pressure drop;if there are leakages, these must be investigated and removed. It will benecessary to repeat a new tightness testing of the network.76
