Agent, or Firm-Larson and Taylor[57]ABSTRACTA smoker's pipe comprises a bowl portion having atobacco-receiving cavity below which is formed atransverse, tapering socket. A passageway interconnectsthe cavity with the socket. A tapering end portionof a stem part is a friction push-fit into the socketwhereby the bowl portion can be rotated about the endportion of the stem part. The stem part includes a borecommunicating directly with, and forming an extensionof, the passageway. A primary reservoir in the lowerregions of the bowl portion communicates with thebore and the passageway but is not in the direct pathbetween the bore and the passageway, thereby keepingto a minimum the internal surface area of the pipe betweenthe cavity and the bore. Thus the primary reservoirstores unwanted liquid in the pipe. Rotation of thebowl portion relative to the stem portion seals off thecavity from the reservoir and bore.9 Claims, 2 Drawing Figures!8 /8-A118-
