Lions Club President
Krishnanath Pandit from
described the various
community activities
that his local club was
involved in. One project
involved the establishment
of a much needed
children’s playground
for an elementary school
that lacked a suitable
playground in Kharode
village. In appreciation of
Lion Pandit and his wife’s
visit to Blythewood,
the Blythewood Lions
Club voted to make a
donation to the Lions
Club playground project
in India. The Blythewood
Lions Club President
Marie Hill Chapiesky was
recently very surprised
to receive the above
photos from India of the
final playground project
completion.
As the automobile progressed,
so did the aggravation
of trying to work on
one. For folks like myself,
trying to fix a broken car
was not only an impossibility,
but pure destruction.
Hence, the independent
mechanic became a great
necessity, and an honest
one was a blessing to find.
As technology and computers
have taken their toll,
it is the independent mechanic
that has become a
rare breed; and many doors
have closed.
In 1974, bad luck with
a pick-up truck provided
me with the good luck of
meetin’ Rodger “Cuzz”
Branham for the first time.
Since then, I’ve learned
a lot ‘bout working on
cars….let ole “cuzz” do it.
