that cannot be found
in any other place. In

There are many
beautiful places all across
the world that contributes
to an individual’s cultural
development and there is
one city that has affected
my sister and me greatly.
This amazing city is
Boston, Massachusetts.
Over the past four years I
have had the privilege of
visiting Boston several
times because my sister
was a student at Boston
University. Sadly, this
year was my sister’s last
year. This past weekend,
when I went to Boston
for her graduation, I
toured the city for what
will most likely be the
last time for several
years. During my trip I

enjoyed the finer parts
of Boston University
graduation festivities.
I enjoyed a boat cruise
on the Charles River,
a beautiful reception
where I met all of my
sister’s lovely friends,
and an awards ceremony
where my sister was one
of the select few honored
with the highest award
that Boston University
Communications schools
gives.
She was entitled to
this award because
over the past four years
she has grown and
developed extensively
on a professional and
personal level- thanks
to loving friends,
amazing professors,
and opportunities and
experiences that only
Boston could provide.
Boston has been the
best of both worlds
for my sister. These
amazing professional
opportunities vary
from interning in
congressional offices
and televisions stations
to enjoying a lovely
dinner with friends,
professors and future
employers. Boston has
also provided her with
amazing personal growth
opportunities because of
her love of history and
culture.
Boston is the only
place in the world where
you can do things like
tour Paul Revere’s home
and go to the North End
to enjoy authentic Italian
food and Mike’s pastries,
(which always has a line
out the door). Boston is
the only place in the world
where you can go on the
freedom trial to see the
U.S.S. Constitution, the
graveyard where several
important historical
figures are buried, Old
North Church, which is
where On the evening of
April 18, 1775, Robert
Newman climbed the
steeple and held high
two lanterns as a signal
from Paul Revere
that the British were
marching to Lexington
and Concord. Only in
Boston can one see the
actual place where our
forefather’s poured the
tea in the harbor. Boston
is a place filled with
opportunities, culture,
and a history of our
nation that should never
be forgotten.
Thanks to this great city
and Boston University, I
feel as if my sister has
learned and grown in a
way I never imagined
