RPIC Responsibilities<br />
The responsibilities <strong>of</strong> the Rotary public image coordinators are to:<br />
• Enhance Rotary’s public image and awareness<br />
• Inform and motivate Rotarians about Rotary’s public relations efforts<br />
• Promote the use <strong>of</strong> Rotary Public Image Grants<br />
• Promote the Rotary Strategic Plan priorities <strong>of</strong> advancing internal and external<br />
recognition and public image <strong>of</strong> Rotary<br />
• Encourage stronger club-level public relations efforts<br />
ENDOWMENT/MAJOR GIFT ADVISERS<br />
In addition to the regional coordinators, there are 41 Endowment/Major Gift<br />
Advisers (E/MGAs) appointed by The Rotary Foundation trustee chair-elect<br />
in consultation with the Foundation Fund Development Committee and Fund<br />
Development staff. The advisers report directly to the trustee chair and assist with<br />
the identification, cultivation, and solicitation <strong>of</strong> major gifts, specifically, gifts to<br />
Rotary’s endowment. The adviser serves as a key volunteer resource for all major<br />
gift and endowment matters in his or her region <strong>of</strong> responsibility.<br />
E/MGA Responsibilities<br />
• Lead by example and make a personal contribution each year to the Annual<br />
Fund; lead by example through a major gift or Bequest Society commitment to<br />
the Foundation according to his or her own financial capacity<br />
• In collaboration with Fund Development staff, including Gift Officers,<br />
RRFCs, and district leadership, develop personalized cultivation and solicitation<br />
plans for at least 15 prospective major gift donors each year<br />
• Personally participate in or be productively involved in the solicitation <strong>of</strong> at<br />
least 10 major gifts each year, with an emphasis on gifts <strong>of</strong> US$25,000 or more<br />
• Educate Rotarians, alumni, and friends <strong>of</strong> Rotary on Rotary Foundation<br />
major giving opportunities, with emphases on Rotary’s endowment,<br />
PolioPlus, the Rotary Peace Centers, and the areas <strong>of</strong> focus<br />
• Reinforce for districts the importance <strong>of</strong> Rotary’s endowment and assist<br />
districts in establishing a structure for the identification and cultivation <strong>of</strong><br />
potential endowment and major gift donors<br />
END POLIO NOW ZONE COORDINATORS<br />
In addition to the regional coordinators, there are 41 End Polio Now zone coordinators<br />
appointed by The Rotary Foundation trustee chair-elect. The End Polio Now<br />
zone coordinators report directly to a regional Rotary Foundation coordinator.<br />
They provide leadership to foster awareness, advocacy, and financial support <strong>of</strong><br />
polio eradication activities at the district and club levels.<br />
End Polio Now Zone Coordinator Responsibilities<br />
• Lead by example and make a personal contribution to the PolioPlus Fund<br />
• Maintain current knowledge <strong>of</strong> the PolioPlus program and global polio eradication<br />
efforts, strategies, status, and needs, including financial requirements<br />
• Promote the goals <strong>of</strong> Rotary’s PolioPlus program through individual presentations<br />
to Rotary meetings upon request<br />
