Allforeign material, e.g. bitumen, adhesive or laitance mustbe removed by mechanical means such as scabbling,capture shot blasting or grinding. Do not use sweepingcompounds, solvents or acid etching as a means ofsurface preparation. Subfloors must be dry and aminimum of 10 o C.PRIMINGNo priming is required when using Ultrafine Finish.However over porous surfaces the application of UltrafineFinish is made easier if the surface is primed withUltralevel Primer at a coverage rate 8-10m 2 per litre.Non-absorbent Floors:For application of Ultrafine Finish to non-poroussubstrates prime the entire area with Ultra NP Primer inaccordance with Technical Data Sheet.MIXINGThe recommended mixing ratio is two (2) parts by volumeof powder to one (1) part water. For an entire bag, mix 2.5litres of water with the 5kg of powder. The use ofadditional water will weaken the surface of the UltrafineFinish and will cause it to take longer to harden. Placethe water in the container first and then add the powderwhile mixing by hand to a lump-free consistency. (Bostikrecommended small quantities be mixed by hand) forlarger quantities the use of forced action mechanicalmixing will produce a creamier and smoother consistencywithout the need for additional water.SUBSTRATESConcrete substrates that are green (> 5.5% moisturecontent), subject to rising damp, moisture or a head ofpressure require a moisture vapour barrier prior toinstallation of Ultrafine Finish. Contact your nearestBostik office for application instructions on ‘BostikMoisture Seal’ to overcome damp substrate conditions.ULTRAFINE FINISH PAGE 1 of 3.

PLACINGBostik Ultrafine Finish is easily applied to any preparedsurface using a steel trowel. Apply sufficient pressure tofill all defects and feather the product into the adjacentsubfloor surface. It is not necessary to leave a minimumthickness of product on the substrate. Use the leaseamount possible to attain the desired smoothness.Ultrafine Finish can be applied from feather edge to up to5mm. Subsequent floor coverings can be installed assoon as it has thoroughly hardened (45 mins @ 23 o C –50%RH).Thickness of Installation: Ultrafine Finish can beinstalled from a true feather edge up to 6mm thick overlarge areas in one application.CURINGApproximately 15 minutes at 20 o C. Note: The pot life willvary with ambient temperature and conditions. Mix onlythe amount of Ultrafine Finish that will be usedimmediately to avoid waste. Accepts floor coverings in45 minutes.CLEAN-UPUltrafine Finish should be removed from tools andequipment with clean water immediately after use.PACKAGINGUltrafine Finish is supplied in a 5kg pail.COVERAGE16-18m 2 per 5kg pail over concrete, depending onapplication thickness.30-35m 2 per 5kg pail over plywood, or very smooth densesurfaces depending on application thickness. A 5kg pailwhen mixed with 2.5 litres of water will yield approx. 4.5litres.STORAGEUltrafine Finish has a shelf life of approximately 12months if kept in original sealed plastic pail in a dryenvironment away from moisture. Do not empty into drains.FIRENon-combustible, however, if involved in a fire use waterfog, foam or dry agents. Avoid breathing products ofcombustion.SPILLSClear area of all unprotected personnel. Slippery whenspilt. Wear protective equipment. Collect and seal inproperly labelled drums.FIRST AIDIf poisoning occurs, contact a Doctor.SWALLOWEDIf swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting. Give a glass ofwater. Seek medical assistance.EYEIf in eyes, hold eyes open, flood with water for at least 15minutes and see a doctor.SKINIf skin contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing andwash skin thoroughly. If irritation occurs seek medicaladvice.INHALED: Remove from contaminated area.
