Earl J. Critz, 83, of Sweetwater, died Monday, May 3, 2003 at Roscoe Health care Center.
Services are pending with McCoy Funeral home. Burial is planned at Garden of Memories Cemetery in
Sweetwater.
Mr. Critz was born July 27, 1920 in Wastella. He married Wilma I. Hyde on September 3, 1971 in Sweetwater.
Mr. Critz was a member of Lamar Street Baptist Church. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S.
Marines and was in the automobile business for many years having worked at Modern Pontiac Oldsmobile in
Sweetwater and his own car lot business. He was a lifelong resident of the Roscoe and Sweetwater area.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Critz of Sweetwater; one son, Gerald Ray Critz and wife, Becky of Lubbock;
two daughters, Earlene Walker of Lynville Tenn. and Carolyn West of Andover, Kan; one brother, Quinnon Critz
and wife, Glynna of Sweetwater; two step-daughters, Wilma Jo Brown and husband, Eddie of Sweetwater and
Billie Jean Martin and husband, Johnny of Roscoe; Eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren;
and three step-great-grandchildren.
