<strong>Hinrich</strong> & Gesche <strong>Ohlenbusch</strong> Family<br />
and Nelle Hefner of Lubbock, Bernice Reddock of Brownwood and Wilma <strong>Ohlenbusch</strong> of Temple as well as<br />
numerous cousins.<br />
He was raised in Edinburg, Texas and graduated from Edinburg High School in 1948. He attended Edinburg<br />
Regional College and Texas Tech University and graduated from Baylor College of Denistry. He served in <strong>the</strong><br />
U.S. Air Forces as a dentist and was stationed in Saudi Abrabia and Germany. He established his dental practice<br />
in Harlingen upon his discharge from <strong>the</strong> Air Force.<br />
He was a long-time active member of <strong>the</strong> Harlingen Kiwanis Club and was devoted to <strong>the</strong> work of <strong>the</strong> Gideon<br />
Society. He was also a faithful participant in <strong>the</strong> prison ministry in Brownsville. He was a strong Christian who<br />
touched many lives by sharing <strong>the</strong> Word of God and by his example of reverence, generosity and gentleness. His<br />
love for family, music, good health, and photography also permeated his life.<br />
He grew up in <strong>the</strong> First Christian Church in Edinburg. He was currently a member of North Way Bible Church in<br />
Harlingen and led <strong>the</strong> Wednesday night Bible Study worship services.<br />
Visitation hours will be held from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and <strong>the</strong> family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.,<br />
Thursday, October 9, 2003, at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home in Harlingen.<br />
Funeral services will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home at 10 a.m., Friday, October 10, 2003 with <strong>the</strong> Rev.<br />
kelly Rumfield officiating.<br />
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gideons at P.O. Box 2671, McAllen, Texas 78505 or to North<br />
Way Bible Church, 2707 Shirley St., Harlingen, Texas 78550.<br />

SPRING/HARLINGEN, TX ? Eduardo Martinez, 79, entered into rest on Monday in Houston, TX.<br />
Mr. Martinez was formerly of Harlingen and was preceded in death by his wife, Raquel G. Martinez.<br />
He is survived by his sons, Eduardo Martinez, Jr., of Harlingen, TX, Alberto Martinez of Nevada City, CA,<br />
Amador H. "Mayo" (Marta) Martinez of Harlingen, TX; daughters, Guadalupe (Julio) Cisneros of Spring, TX,<br />
Sylvia (Alonzo) Sosa of Campbell, TX, Raquel (Rick) Bryson of Denton, TX, Ruth (Reyes) Alcorta of<br />
Muscatine, IA, Yolanda Schoffett of Harlingen, TX; 21 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great<br />
grandchild. He is also survived by his bro<strong>the</strong>rs, Jose Martinez and Juan Alberto Martinez; and by numerous o<strong>the</strong>r<br />
family members and friends.<br />
Visitation will be held today, October 9, 2003 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. at <strong>the</strong> Rudy Garza Chapel of Peace with<br />
<strong>the</strong> Holy rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.<br />
The funeral procession will depart <strong>the</strong> Rudy Garza Funeral Home on Friday, October 10, 2003, at 9:30 a.m. for a<br />
10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St. Anthony?s Catholic Church with Fr. Edouward Atangana as <strong>the</strong> celebrant.<br />
Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in La Feria, TX.<br />
Pallbearers will be Joshua R. Cisneros, Mike Martinez, Steven Martinez, Eddie Martinez, III, Javier Alonzo Sosa<br />
and Thomas Milton Schoffett.<br />
