2 Install the Open the app module 3 Even though you’ve downloaded the app from Google Play, you’ll still need to activate it in the Xposed Framework. These all represent the parts of the Lollipop OS that you can tweak from within XBlast. Some of them are a lot simpler to understand than others, but there’s a lot of flexibility ready for you to take advantage of. 5 Check your notifications Head into the Notifications part of the app and toggle the Master Switch. This will let you play around with the way your notifications look. Most of the options are aesthetic, but it’s nice to be able to get rid of the images that some notifications usually automatically display. A build.prop? Here you are able to tweak a number of functions that your phone runs automatically. For example, you can get rid of the start-up animation, change how often you scan for Wi-Fi, along with a variety of other options. Take a moment to have a play around to see what works for you. Use your buttons 7 You can change what the actions the hardware buttons perform in the various options as well, using them to skip tracks when you’re playing music, or use them to control a cursor when you’re typing. You can also alter what your phone does when you’re playing audio and you flip it over. 8 9 Time for miscellany Scroll down to the Miscellaneous options tab and you’ll be able to unlock some other interesting settings, like being able to flip the screen when you hold your phone upside down. There are security options here as well that are worth having a look over. 10 Last not least Now check out the Visual Tweaks menu. From here you can alter some of the look of your device. Try exploring the different settings to see what sort of customisation options are open to you. When you’re done, save your settings so you can restore them easily if you ever need. 51
