Great Lakes Challenge
On Friday 16th September Matt Cannon, Regional
Manager, and his two friends Alex Cadwallader and
Allen Chiltern completed the Great Lakes
Challenge which involved canoeing England’s longest lake
(12 miles), cycling up England’s steepest pass (26 miles)
and scaling England’s highest peak (9 miles) all in under
12 hours!
Matt and his team completed the challenge for The
Wooden Spoon charity that exists to improve the quality
and prospect of life for children and young people who
are disadvantaged physically, mentally or socially. It does
this in a number of diverse ways such as the payment of

Optimise’s South London Contract fielded a
team of fabulous footballers for a Lynch
Plant Hire Charity 5-a-side tournament in aid
of St Luke’s Hospice.
